The year 2021 was riddled with many challenges for individuals and particularly for the Church as we had no choice but to continue changing and doing our best to adapt to government guidelines and regulations surrounding Covid 19. Here we are and it is 2022. We made it! Glory be to God. Our theme for this year is “God our Salvation” and that will form the header for our devotionals and daily prayer during the fast.
If you are new to our site and our ministry Fasting is abstinence from food for a period of time while focusing on prayer.
Jesus taught that certain problems or difficulties do not leave “without Prayer and Fasting.” See He made this statement in response to a question from His disciples about why they could not cast out an evil spirit. See Matthew 17:14-21. Fasting “unfastens” fastened situations, and in some cases fast-forwards miracles.
This year Prayer & Fasting will be observed from Monday, January 10th to Sunday, January 23rd observing a 6 am to 6 pm fast for a total of 14 days.
If this is your first time fasting and you’d like to join us, please feel free to break your fast at noon or at 3 pm. You are welcome to take whatever number of days you feel led to participate in. Also, it is very important to ensure that you create time for scripture reading, meditation, and prayer. If you would like to participate. You will find daily devotions on this page to help guide and nurture and provide you with tools for effective prayer. May God be for you and all that is yours The God of Salvation.
