Acts of Grace

Jesus is God’s grace that appeared once for all to all mankind. The Bible shows us the purpose for the grace of God appearing to mankind in Paul’s letter to Titus. Jesus’ followers are also called to become conduits or connectors of God’s grace to others.

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Titus 2:11-14

From December 15 to 22, let us attempt 7 Acts of Grace to the following people:

  • Strangers
  • Co-workers
  • Classmates
  • Course-mates
  • Neighbours

Some examples of Acts of Grace:

  • Pay for someone’s meal/coffee
  • Give someone a car wash gift card, home cleaning gift card, etc.
  • Write an email to someone encouraging them
  • Share a meal
  • Invite someone over for tea
  • Give out something you don’t use anymore to someone who really needs it
  • Pray for someone in their presence (after asking permission)
  • And so many other things you can do. May God give us all wisdom.
