Grace: The Prophetic Word is an Act of Grace

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

Matthew 1:22

Jesus birth was prophesied by several prophets long before His birth, one of the most noted being Isaiah’s in Isaiah 7:14. Hosea also wrote in Hosea 12:13, about the power of the prophetic word in the mouth of God’s servant, Moses. Through Moses, God led Israel powerfully out of Egypt and preserved them in the wilderness. Lastly we see in Ezra 6:14, that God’s people in the time of Ezra the scribe prospered through his prophetic words (preaching). May the grace of God through the primacy of prophetic preaching save, revive and energize us today.
