Standing Against the Wiles of Satan

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Satan is unrepentantly wicked and will stop at nothing to dissuade and destroy you. As Jesus who cannot lie taught us, satan is a thief who comes only to “steal, kill and destroy.” The good news is that we have been given authority over the powers of the enemy.
19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19 NKJV
11 so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.

Prayer Points
- Praise God for exposing the tricks of the evil one.
- Pray for continued wisdom for christians so we don’t fall into the trap of the evil one. See 2 Corinthians 2:11
- Pray for discernment among believers to know when the enemy is at work
- Declare your victory over all the power of the enemy according to Luke 10:19 above.
Sample Prayer
Father in Heaven,
I stand in the place of the authority Christ has given every believer. I stand in the authority Christ has given me over the power of the enemy. With that authority and in the name of Jesus Christ I come against every manipulation, lie, wiles and attacks of the enemy over myself, family and the church of God. I confront the enemy and his cohorts on assignment against your people with the precious blood of Jesus shed for the remission of sins. Through Jesus blood I have been redeemed. The church is bought and paid for. The devil has no claim over us.
I thank you for victory through the resurrection of Jesus today and always in Jesus matchless name.
