Personal Revival

Scripture

Will You not revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?

Psalm 85:6

¹⁹ Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, ²⁰ and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,

Acts 3:19-20

¹⁴ if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Revival is the rekindling of a person’s soul and spirit response to God. It is the realignment of our “God antenna” within our spirit such that we become readily alert to Him. Our spiritual DNA’s default is dependency on God. Without Him we are nothing. Revival makes us more alive and open to God. It is akin to what happened at Pentecost and through the early chapters of the book of Acts where we read several times that the disciples were “filled with the Holy Spirit.” For revival to take place there has to first be a recognition of our sinfulness and inadequacies. This is followed by repentance from anything that is ungodly. True Repentance leads to Restoration and Refreshing. Wherever and whenever revival occurs in established believers, new salvations always follow. We must pray for personal revival.

Prayer Points

• Thank God for the possibility of revival. Because if we are ever dry spiritually there’s an avenue to be lit up again
  
• Pray for the fresh fire of revival in the church especially at Joy Fountain Church as a focal point
  
• Pray for those who are at the door of the Kingdom of God to enter in. Pray for the walls in their minds to collapse to the truth of Jesus as the Spirit reasons with them
• Praise God for the 14 day prayer challenge and that you made it.
  

Sample Prayer

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for the love You have for people. I praise you for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for me. Because of this, and because by Your grace I believed, I was made alive to God. I am Your child, You know my name, I belong to You. With a great deliverance, You have saved me. Your banner over me is love. Lord, I pray for personal revival in my own life. I want to know You more. I want to hear Your voice like never before. Make me a conduit of your grace.

I pray for Your church. Bring us all to the fresh waters of revival. Let our spirit be refreshed again by the awesome and beautiful presence of Your Holy Spirit. You are all we need. Make us strong in and for you. Let the lure of the world pale in comparison to the glories You will reveal to us.
