Day 8

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Philippians 2:1-4

    Érica says:

Paul invites us to a deep koinonia (Greek word meaning communion). And we more than 2,000 years later still have the same problem. Sadly, we have not yet acquired Christ’s character.
Paul asks us to be unanimous. May we have a common purpose. Although we have differences of opinion and thoughts, in certain matters, we often have to give in at times to maintain the unity of the whole.
Our difficulty in communion still consists in the problem of not knowing the essence of the word serve and being servants, the pride of carnal human nature hinders us the true condition of a God:”who, being in the form of God, counted it not a prize to be on an equality with God, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant,” Philippians 2.6-7a
The secret about our communion is to empty ourselves and to allow the light of the Holy Spirit to shine bright in us.. Amennnn!!!

Unity among us is clearly important in the church body.

“Lord, anywhere we are not aligned with your word, cleanse us, teach us and give us grace to grow and look like Jesus!, Amen”

    Allan says:

Wonder how Paul would modify this letter to address us with ALL our divisions today????

      Andaza says:

Division is sponsored by the enemy and of course accepted by people because of our selfish motives. I have found that the people who walk close to God are the most loving and least judging you will find. Maybe it all begins with the wholehearted pursuit of the person of Christ. He by His Spirit works in and upon us what we are unable for ourselves.

    Marchelle says:

May the Lord help me/help us as a body of believers to be united in one accord . Grant us grace Oh Lord to walk in humility, compassion and understanding for others. The Lord is mighty and powerful and is able to do the impossible in my life and yours! Let’s continue to trust Him and we will stand amazed to see what He will do !
    Amen !

    Stella says:

Remarkable, the bible is complete. I love how this translation puts it. Being selfless is one of the bedrocks to a blissful Christian life. I pray the Lord helps us all to practice this effortlessly.

Just one verse sums it up for me….” Do onto others as you would have them do onto you”..❤
