5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
Proverbs 3:5-10
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
7 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
8 Then you will have healing for your body
and strength for your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the best part of everything you produce.
10 Then he will fill your barns with grain,
and your vats will overflow with good wine.
I like this version where it says: Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. That can be an easy thing to let happen. I’m trying to be humble and acknowledge God as the source of everything!
“Fear the Lord and turn from evil” That seems to be one of society’s biggest problem today. Lord help me and all those who follow you to reverence you in holy fear everyday.
Don’t we sometimes get carried away with our achievements and think to ourselves what a great job we have done? I think there should be a boundary between self praise and simply acknowledging God at work in our lives. He is indeed the source of everything.
God wants us to trust Him and seek His will always. Tough but very possible. we just have to keep making a conscious effort….May we continue to increase in Grace for this. Amen
