Day 9

January 14, 2025. The Amazing God!

Amazing God: Places and Spaces of Joy

Scripture Text: Please read Exodus 25:1-9 and note what the Spirit points out as you read.

Welcome to Day 9. “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Places He Has Marked For Himself

The Lord God has marked for Himself specific spots around the world to build outposts. He led Abraham to land and Moses and the nation of Israel to a land. We were looking for a “permanent” place for the church to gather after migrating from place to place over nine years. The verse we used in prayer was Exodus 23:20, “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.” He said to David, “Moreover, I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as before time.” The spot where we gather regularly is marked for God. In 2 Chronicles 7:16, regarding the new Temple built by King Solomon, the Lord said to him, “For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.” God is interested in places and spaces on Earth dedicated to Him for His glory.

The Destiny Of The Church Is Growth And Governance

The destiny of the Church is to grow and serve as the governing arm of God’s glorious Kingdom, for “of the increase of His Government there shall be no end.” Before that age comes, when we assume our place in glory, we can foretaste what that looks like here on Earth. Indeed, in some countries of the world, the church is oppressed because of persecution, and so saying that the church is destined to govern seems a bit far-fetched to those who doubt or lack the understanding of where we are headed. Persecution and all manner of difficulty do not preclude our destiny. If Christ is the Head of His body and “upon His shoulders shall the government be,” then we are destined to govern. The scripture says, “We shall reign with Christ.” I said all the above to say that even now, we must take charge and legal possession of spaces and places and ensure the spirit of just governance permeates. Children will be raised to love the Lord in those spaces and places, and families will be encouraged to live for Him. From the allotted spaces where God has placed His name, we must shine our light, declare His goodness, and bring His joy.

Host His Presence

Let Us Pray Using The Model Jesus Taught

Our Father In Heaven, Hallowed Be Your Name

Psalm 139:1-10Father in Heaven, we praise your Holy name today and always in Jesus’ name. Use the words in the scriptures to exalt the Father. He longs to hear our worship.

Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven

Pray His will for Churches looking for space. Many growing Churches in Canada are frustrated due to zoning rules and regulations that do not favor churches. When we pray, the “Amazing God” will amaze His people with miracles.

  1. Exodus 10:24-26. Let us pray that the Lord put the resources the church needs in the hands of His people to possess spaces He has marked for Himself.
  2. Exodus 23:30 Pray for the Lord to lead Joy Fountain by his angel to the land he has prepared for the future.
  3. Isaiah 59:19 Stand in Jesus’ Authority against the flood of laws rising against the church seeking to limit what God has called us to do. Holy Spirit, we raise a standard against the flood of satan in Jesus’ name.

Give Us This Day our Daily Bread…

John 6:27-33. Pray that today and always, we will be satisfied with the bread of heaven. Pray for every new believer that they may grow in Christ as they start with feeding on the sincere milk of God’s word. 1 Peter 2:1-3

And Forgive Us Our Debts As We Forgive Our Debtors…

Matthew 5:23. We are bombarded daily with opportunities to harbor hatred and resentment toward others. Lord, grant us the grace to walk free from unforgiveness. Lord, today, I release every offender and every offense. I make a conscious choice not to walk in offense in Jesus’ name.

And Do Not Lead Us Into Temptation But Deliver Us From The Evil One…

2 Thess. 3:2, 2 Cor. 11:25 Pray for deliverance from unreasonable people, wicked people, and false Christians. Make declarations as applicable, knowing that in the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and tongue confess that He is the Lord.

For Yours Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory Forever. Amen!

Close your session with praise for Him, Who is King and Lord forever.
