Amazing God: “Multiplied Miracles For Today”
Scripture Text: Please read Acts 5:12-38 and note what the Spirit points out as you read.
Welcome to Day 13.
Candidate For Miracles!
Since the fall of Adam and Eve and, as a result, their expulsion from the Garden of Eden, the entire human race descended from them and became candidates for miraculous intervention. A journey through Genesis 5 shows that all who descended from Adam were born in his “likeness” (see Gen. 5 Vs. 1-4), meaning the intrusion of sin renders all after Adam and Eve flawed by default. Don’t forget that Adam and Eve were first created in God’s “likeness,” meaning they were Holy from the onset. The sinful nature is progressively ruinous (Genesis 6:5) and has nothing good to offer besides progression in the direction of eternal death (separation from God.) Therefore, the first and most crucial miracle is salvation from death, which is what Jesus came to accomplish for us. His name, Jesus (Yeshua), means Saviour/Salvation. Once saved by believing in His death and resurrection, there are better things that accompany salvation. “Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don’t believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things that come with salvation.” Heb. 6:9 NLT.
Conduit For Miracles!
In Luke 4:31-38, we read the account of Jesus visiting the synagogue in Capernaum as a teaching guest Rabbi. As we learned, his teaching amazed the attendees: “They were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority.” On one occasion, He was recognized by an evil spirit living inside a man who had been a synagogue member for a long time. The evil spirit had become uncomfortable with the powerful teaching and the anointing oozing out of Jesus, “he cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” Did you catch that?
The demon called Christ “the Holy One of God.” Right after, Jesus casts the evil spirit and sub-spirits out. And, of course, everyone was amazed again. Astonished at His teaching authority and amazed at His authority over demons. While on Earth, Jesus became a conduit of God’s miraculous power to the world. Here is the good news! Upon the conclusion of His assignment on earth, He passes on the torch to His disciples without a shadow of a doubt: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18 NKJV
The early church became a repository and conduit for miracles. By inheritance, we should also be conduits and so must not be dormant. May this year be one where we come alive as conduits of the virtues of Heaven in Jesus’ name. Can you say a loud Amen?
Host His Presence
Let Us Pray Using The Model Jesus Taught
Our Father In Heaven, Hallowed Be Your Name
Psalm 84:1-4. Father in Heaven, we praise your Holy name today and always in Jesus’ name. Use the words in the scriptures to exalt the Father. He longs to hear our worship.
Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven
Pray for yourself and the church of God:
- Matthew 9:36. That we recognize candidates for miracles and not shy away from offering the help that Jesus provides.
- John 3:16, Matthew 9:36, Acts 2:36. That we become conduits of your miracles beginning with salvation for those around us and the things that accompany salvation.
- Isaiah 59:19 Stand in Jesus’ Authority against the flood of laws rising against the church seeking to limit what God has called us to do. Holy Spirit, we raise a standard against the flood of satan in Jesus’ name.
- Pray that false brethren be exposed among the church. 2 Corinthians 11:26
- Pray for protection against all forms of witchcraft, Zech. 2:5
Give Us This Day our Daily Bread…
John 6:27-33. Pray that today and always, we will be satisfied with the bread of heaven. Pray for every new believer that they may grow in Christ as they start with feeding on the sincere milk of God’s word. 1 Peter 2:1-3
And Forgive Us Our Debts As We Forgive Our Debtors…
Matthew 5:23. We are bombarded daily with opportunities to harbor hatred and resentment toward others. Lord, grant us the grace to walk free from unforgiveness. Lord, today, I release every offender and every offense. I consciously choose not to walk in offense in Jesus’ name.
And Do Not Lead Us Into Temptation But Deliver Us From The Evil One…
- 2 Cor. 11:14. Pray for our eyes to be opened to the devil’s tricks no matter how covered the deception comes
- 2 Cor. 2:11. Make declarations according to 2 Cor. 2:11: “satan shall not have an advantage over me, my household, my church, etc, in Jesus’ name. Cover every area you can think of.
For Yours Is The Kingdom And The Power And The Glory Forever. Amen!
Close your session with praise for Him, Who is King and Lord forever.
