The Purpose of Truth
Genesis 3:1-12, John 14:6
- Truth is what is correct. Positionally, it does not bend. It is eternal in nature.
- Situational Truths change. For example “I used to be unhappy but now, I am happier than ever”
- A lie is the distortion of the truth. satan’s stock in trade is lying. John 8:44
- Lies have a lifespan. Every lie will eventually die. Proverbs 12:19
The error of reality
- Reality is not necessarily truth because it can be based on a lie. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
The Power of Truth
- Expose and kill the lie quickly so it does less damage
- Manage, Maintain and Multiply regardless of the odds
The Truth in you
- It cannot be half truth. You cannot proclaim effectively what’s not wholly true to you
- Intellectual nod to the truth is not enough. You must have your own Divine experience. Philippians 3:10-11
