The King’s Reset Day 5: Reset My Words Oh Lord!

Welcome to Day 5. I am sure if you are engaged you are finding clarity and divine strength as we journey together. Please share your experiences or testimonies with us by submitting them here.

Words or the ability to communicate are one of the most powerful things God has invested in mankind. Even the mute and deaf who use hand signs are also speaking words from their spirits just that they are unable to vocalize. It is still powerful.

A Divine reset for the mouth from which our words flow is essential – even for the deaf and mute. The world was created by the word of God. He spoke light into darkness and spoke all of the following we see in creation into existence. God sent Jesus Christ into the world to bring us into a relationship with Him and, John reveals to us that Christ’s original name is “The Word.”

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:1-5,14 NKJV

The statement “the word became flesh” is pregnant with meaning. The Word was a Spirit at first. Somewhere in the course of history, for His predeterminate purpose, God made The Word flesh. This tells me that as a child of God, my words are powerful. Even Jesus said, “the words that I speak to you they are spirit and they are life.”

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Matthew 12:35-37 NKJV

Friends, there is infinitesimal creative power in every word spoken. The more we speak on a subject, creative power accumulates into a large force of creation. When the Lord called Isaiah to a new assignment with a vision of the glories of Heaven, He was terrified for his life because of the uncleanness of his lips. He said “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” I wonder what Isaiah would have been saying habitually with his lips. What do you say habitually with your mouth that’s causing you trouble?
