Wait on the Lord
Acts 1:4-8
- We all know what it means to wait. It is to remain in anticipation.
- Most people don’t like to wait
- Waiting is not necessarily wasting away life or time.
- Waiting ON is simply Serving as we have been called. It is to be faithful.
- The first church did just that as they continued to meet together
Benefits of waiting on The Lord
- Let us examine STRENGTH in Isaiah 40:31 closely
- Waiting weathers your life through many seasons. 1 Peter 5:10
- Garnering a good report and an inheritance as the faithful of old Hebrews 6:11-12
- Rather than FORGET we are FORGED to FORGE ahead
- to form by heating and hammering; beat into shape. to form or make, especially by concentrated effort
- Waiting increases the WEIGHT of glory upon you. 2 Corinthians 4:17
- The ONE we are called to WAIT ON (SERVE) is dependable
- Receive the Grace needed to Wait for Divine timing. Philippians 2:13
