The Way and The Walk

John 14:1-6

• The Christian faith was and is called “The Way” based on Jesus announcement “I am the way…”

• If there is a way then there must be a “Walk” associated with “The Way”.

4 key elements of The Walk

The Word: 

• Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 119:130, Jeremiah 20:19, 1 Peter 1:5.

• It is the word that makes us alive unto God. 

• The Word works wonders 

• The word sustains us in the way. 

The Wilderness:

• Luke 4:1-2, Deuteronomy 8:2

• After the word  “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased” Jesus faced the wilderness.

• Every believer must experience some sort of wilderness. 

The Weight of His glory: 2 Corinthians 3:8

• The weight of glory speaks of two things. His increasing (Shekinah) presence and the burden of His Kingdom:

• We must all carry our cross in order to behold His glory. Without the cross there is no glory. Without the burden there is no breakthrough.

The walk of true Wealth: Psalm 66:10-12

• In the Divine realm of understanding, true wealth is “access” not necessarily “holdings”. 

The big Wait: Psalm 37:7

• Waiting on Him in prayer and fasting

• Waiting for timing in everything. 

• Waiting for people we are praying for to come to terms with Jesus as Saviour.
