Pursue and Recover All

1 Samuel 30

There has to have been a loss for there to be a recovery. God is in the business of delivering powerful recoveries.

David, while king of Israel “in waiting” experienced loss to a raiding band of Amalekites. Ziklag was decimated and the women and children taken captive.

The story ends with David defeating the Amalekites and recovering all that was raided

• God where are you? Vs. 7-8

• Seize recovery opportunities Vs. 10-14

• Total recovery “plus” is possible Vs. 15-20

• Remember the weak Vs. 21-25

• Remember your friends Vs. 26-30 

Pursue holiness. Hebrews 12:14

• Without holiness revival (which is a type of recovery) is impossible 

• People desperately need divine intervention (being born again is recovery). They may not know that for themselves. 

• Pursue holiness by doing God’s will, God’s way.
