Hearing The Voice of God
Isaiah 30:21, Amos 3:7, Romans 8:16
There are many voices out there working to create confusion. Jesus taught in John 10 that God’s flock would know His voice.
God still speaks clearly today to us in 5 principal ways:
- His Audible Voice. 1 Samuel 9:15-16
- The Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16
- Inner Witness. Romans 8:16
- Third Parties. Acts 21:10-14
- Circumstantial Evidence. Acts 16:6-8
Audible Voice
Samuel heard God in his ear a day before directing him to ordain Saul as king over Israel
The Holy Scriptures
Daniels investment of time reading the scriptures led to great revelations as well as divine encounters. Daniel 9:1-2, 20-23
Inner Witness
Jesus knew what the people were thinking. Mark 2:8
Third Parties
Acts 13:1-3. The leaders at the Antioch Church
Acts 21:10-14. Agabus the prophet
Circumstantial evidence
You don’t hear anything. You observe a string of occurrences that point to God’s hand at work showing direction
