    Andaza says:

Forgiveness is a big one. While we may have a strong argument as to why we cannot release an offender from our hearts, the truth is that God is wiser than we ever can be. Not forgiving harms us more than even the ones who offend us. It is like retaining poison in our selves. Lord Jesus, work in our hearts to bring us to a place where we can truly forgive.

    David Senft says:

As I ponder on forgiveness I know this has been something every one of us deals with in life. For me there have been certain things that have happened in life where it has taken some time to forgive and because as humans we never forget I believe that in our hearts we have to forgive those situations and people multiple times as we work through our forgiveness. God’s forgiveness is complete one time that when he says our sins are forgiven they are completely washed away and this is the type of forgiveness that we must strive for when we forgive others and in the time we have to forgive ourselves.

I completely agree with the other comments. What also sticks out to me is Jesus sense of humor. We know that Peter was always sort of over the top with Jesus. Always taking things to the extreme, Jesus could have said no Peter we must always forgive others. Instead He sort of gives Peter a little of his own medicine and was like no Peter 70 times 7. I see some humor in their relationship.

    Monica Ulloa says:

when I was a child I went through a few negative experiences. It followed me until youth and young woman, I was very quiet and shy, it would really bother me but didnt understand why. There were alot of things that trouble me and it hunted me through my dreams but when later in life when I was in my late twenties I had the opportunity to be introduced to my saviour and accepted Jesus in my heart . With studying the word and being hungry for more of Jesus things became clear and made sense of why I was feeling the way I did. Jesus healed me in the inside and I understood why I was having uneasy and scary dreams. Forgiveness in my heart was done through the love of Jesus and my personality changed knowing who I am in Him and through Him I am more then a conqueror!!..Hallelujah!

    Matt says:

Wow, that’s 490 times!! Can you imagine? When someone crosses us 5 times we have had enough. It takes the Grace of God to walk in that kind of forgiveness. May God grant us more patience and Love for others, as we run this race!
